Now, the hard part...coming up with a name. We have the middle name all set, we just need a first name now. Well, we have some time, so we'll just keep plodding away at it! Jack seems a little too young to know what's going on, but once that baby comes, I'm sure he'll be an excellent big brother!! We'll keep you posted with updates and such...new room look(s), Jack's new room and big boy bed, and all the rest!Matt, Nicki & Jackhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16227689197843981797noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1716189348526463653.post-50098132538256983052009-04-27T06:46:00.006-04:002009-05-02T11:45:40.506-04:00Some REALLY Cute Pictures and Videos of Jack since ChristmasI can't believe it's been so long since I put up some pictures of Jack. He is growing sooo much! He runs around now, or walks on his tip-toes. He's LOVING being able to walk. The other day, we actually walked around our block...he and I were both walking. He didn't like to hold my hand, but I made him do it anyway. Hopefully soon he won't mind so much.<br />Jack also has started to point at people when we ask "Where's so-and-so?" It's so cute. He can say "Mama", "Gaga"(grandma or grandpa), "loon"(balloon), and sometimes, "Dada" (but he always ends up calling Matt "Mama.")<br />Well, anyway, here's the pictures:<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxbFcufAzuckAFFRJAfwr26ZmGEQ_Dn7IBB99dyyoW33Cg3r6qgnoXgySqjQyMi5vHiUxs9IwYIRIBEe3fMLuK7TP8PZEIA08eYMhgT_XD1eerYcx-y1wSRdrCDWVq1y2TyZir4zQW87Q/s1600-h/CIMG2047.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; We will hopefully find out the gender in late June, so we'll post pictures and info about it then. But, until then, everything is going fine. The morning sickness this time around is a little worse, but then again, I have a little less down time this time around too! As of today, I'm 11 weeks along, and I already am in some maternity clothes (ouch), but I'm told that's somewhat normal. Oh well! Que sera, sera. Here is a picture of the sonogram I had on April 10th. He/she already looks like a little person....it's sooo cute!!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCp0HqHEN5KzAn1WpsIPiv76EeSWY1IxlX2DFF7lA-Y-VrIOxUcd0W03ORRInbAqPl_OnAWldskJaF-9qVZnFaVeUmeb3D8ao7sYlcHg7uFd60VTdnyD65K_utjwfM5bhvd1nAhWwqvuI/s1600-h/sonogram+of+baby+2+on+4_10_09.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCp0HqHEN5KzAn1WpsIPiv76EeSWY1IxlX2DFF7lA-Y-VrIOxUcd0W03ORRInbAqPl_OnAWldskJaF-9qVZnFaVeUmeb3D8ao7sYlcHg7uFd60VTdnyD65K_utjwfM5bhvd1nAhWwqvuI/s320/sonogram+of+baby+2+on+4_10_09.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5329320158316292994" border="0" /></a>Matt, Nicki & Jackhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16227689197843981797noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1716189348526463653.post-48508096605085812862009-03-24T22:29:00.003-04:002009-05-03T21:24:19.768-04:00Jack's 1st BirthdayJack turned one last Friday, the 20th and one of Matt's coworkers at Orville's switched shifts with him so we could all hang out Friday night!! We went out to dinner and had lots of fun!! Then we had a great birthday party for him the next day. Thank you to all who came and joined in the celebration with us! Thank you also for those who weren't able to come, but sent well wishes!! Jack had a blast between eating frosting off the cake, seeing his family and friends, and then playing with all his new wrapping paper (I mean toys!).<br />Here is a video so you can see how much fun Jack had: (<span style="color: rgb(153, 0, 0);">pictures to be coming...problems with uploading...too tired and frustrated now!!</span>)<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dzDcJF0IkvOpuPmaKEPNTZbHGt85FqX1JUvsuwUC7zkcZhyBnHlM86vfMqLPc6PMOdPjhuEo3xTB0NXfHQkOQ' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe><span style="display: block;" id="formatbar_Buttons"><span class="down" style="display: block;" id="formatbar_JustifyCenter" title="Align Center" onmouseover="ButtonHoverOn(this);" onmouseout="ButtonHoverOff(this);" onmouseup="" onmousedown="CheckFormatting(event);FormatbarButton('richeditorframe', this, 11);ButtonMouseDown(this);"><img src="http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif" alt="Align Center" class="gl_align_center" border="0" /></span></span></div>Matt, Nicki & Jackhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16227689197843981797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1716189348526463653.post-50428478281820104442009-02-20T11:45:00.003-05:002009-05-02T17:36:07.155-04:00Jack Walks!<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">Jack took his first steps on February 3rd...and they were</span><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">towards Daddy!!! He gave it to me today, so lookout world...lots of pics and videos from here on out. (Well, at least that's what I am hoping for. We'll see how it really works out!)Matt, Nicki & Jackhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16227689197843981797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1716189348526463653.post-77689590993738836282009-01-06T10:36:00.000-05:002009-02-06T11:02:47.829-05:00I Love this Christmas-y Time of YearThe holidays were a blur, but they were fun! Mike, Julie & Emma came into town on the 24th and stayed with us while they were here. It was so much fun!! We all had a great time...but I think the kids enjoyed it the most (as it should be).<br />For some reason, Matt & I volunteered our home for the annual McCoy Christmas Eve get-together since it was supposed to be at Dan & Judy's this year and we knew their home was just not big enough to have all those people in it. What a crazy few days we had before and after trying to get ready for it, and then cleaned up from it! Would I do it again??? Sure, why not!<br />Christmas day was a full day! We woke up at 7 to be at my Mom's by 8:30am. We opened gifts and played with the Wii that my family got. Then it was time to go to Dan & Judy's. We opened gifts and had lunch there. Jack got a really cool Kawasaki motorized four wheeler that he just loves! Emma got a cool slide and rocking horse that both kids loved! Then, around 2 Matt, Jack and I went to my Dad's house to open gifts and visit. My sisters and Jeff Moore came too! We stayed there until 5pm. Then we went back to my Mom's house for dinner and birthday celebration - her birthday! Matt, Jack & I left for home around 8pm weary and exhausted from a very long and exciting day.<br />Then, not a week later, we went to Matt, Sara & Kinsley's for their 3rd Annual New Years Eve party. This year's theme was Wild West. Jack made it until about 10:30pm, and then zonked out upstairs in his car seat. It was a lot of fun. Matt didn't get that into dressing up, but I went to Salvation Army and got a decent outfit. Unfortunately, something in the outfit made me sneeze, so I had to give it back to the Salvation Army after the party. Oh well!!<br />Below are some pictures from Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and random pics of Jack & Emma playing while they were together.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnmJ35I8yKXGTs0SP51ZLXNJ4BA_v6cQrIVebpwhYcbY0f_ZNEPPEnznCj_421srUO2c3vJ9aIddOUf43VHbjGD_3SZjX4qKkNKEddw7ItZPn2BHqVVKRY_Q6_3c3e99CfasRwuYgRtS4/s1600-h/100_3010.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnmJ35I8yKXGTs0SP51ZLXNJ4BA_v6cQrIVebpwhYcbY0f_ZNEPPEnznCj_421srUO2c3vJ9aIddOUf43VHbjGD_3SZjX4qKkNKEddw7ItZPn2BHqVVKRY_Q6_3c3e99CfasRwuYgRtS4/s320/100_3010.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5299714226273094546" border="0" /></a>Matt & Jack Christmas morning at my Mom's opening a gift for Jack.<br />I love the expressions on both of their faces...exactly the same!!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnf12P97IKDPiSOASur6eDb4z5uIxH58Jd9lNqpZycSjqtH2yE7VywWUXOi-MFjvmxhy5yEHcor6cdLG-ZKjkSC2j4SWVpm-5_d3OCkWNMRGx8bIR169YZu1QaEjZTLK48U5Vhb5tx5xE/s1600-h/100_3019.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnf12P97IKDPiSOASur6eDb4z5uIxH58Jd9lNqpZycSjqtH2yE7VywWUXOi-MFjvmxhy5yEHcor6cdLG-ZKjkSC2j4SWVpm-5_d3OCkWNMRGx8bIR169YZu1QaEjZTLK48U5Vhb5tx5xE/s320/100_3019.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5299714231208332194" border="0" /></a>My Dad and Jack at Dad's house on Christmas Day.<br />Jack was getting a little tired by this point.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhK4nk13CJynjnoAqGDCP32nF2T6CCzPFpVqyAuUKUZf67MRiTLGJYv6TgZIMwQW0Q5Mv_2IwXZhNm3ZkYOW4UnVqrYWN34N5CHPSPs7ZUQaAdUiwXGRD9t4g6s69WnAz6x2Ob042Ymn8Q/s1600-h/100_3159.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhK4nk13CJynjnoAqGDCP32nF2T6CCzPFpVqyAuUKUZf67MRiTLGJYv6TgZIMwQW0Q5Mv_2IwXZhNm3ZkYOW4UnVqrYWN34N5CHPSPs7ZUQaAdUiwXGRD9t4g6s69WnAz6x2Ob042Ymn8Q/s320/100_3159.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5299714236869468338" border="0" /></a>Here's Jack on his four wheeler.<br />It's not on Christmas Day,<br />but we had to assemble it first!<br />(Yes, that's me with him...wearing matching overalls!)<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEExiFMSppELIIQ93k3wIeAPusZ9ulKr6mAf9f7lJjbspscE1rphS5BaDot08W77PL-x61Et3HBT4MZPfT4qppFK5zta5ckMyO-BUKloo3fPLZKk9kzG-VRWXKREniTLzDiEHdec_9l9A/s1600-h/100_3071.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEExiFMSppELIIQ93k3wIeAPusZ9ulKr6mAf9f7lJjbspscE1rphS5BaDot08W77PL-x61Et3HBT4MZPfT4qppFK5zta5ckMyO-BUKloo3fPLZKk9kzG-VRWXKREniTLzDiEHdec_9l9A/s320/100_3071.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5299714235473517058" border="0" /></a>Jack & Emma played so well together! I threw Matt a SURPRISE birthday party and he didn't find out until we shouted, "Surprise!" as he walked in the house!! Here's how it all went:<br />Matt doesn't get many weekends off, but he requested his birthday weekend off, so I started to plan the party when I found out about it. That day, we hung around the house, went for lunch and then Dan & Judy took us out to dinner. After dinner we went to the Festival of Lights in Hamburg. We got to go on a reindeer drawn carriage ride...which was cold, but fun! All the while, Cindy and Jeff were back at our house getting decorations up, setting up the house for the party and greeting people as they came over. If it weren't for Cindy and Jeff, the party would not have been as great as it was! It definitely wouldn't have been a secret!!<br />So, on our way home from the Festival of Lights, I kept texting Jeff & Cindy to let them know where we were and our ETA (estimated time of arrival). Judy looked nervous all the way home, but the rest of us kept our cool. When we got to our house, the entire street had cars parked on it and Matt said, "Whoa. Look at all the cars. I wonder what they're doing here." To that I answered, "I guess somebody must be having a party." And he dropped it at that. We parked in the driveway and Matt took Jack into the house as we all followed him. When Matt got to the top of the stairs, everyone inside yelled, "SURPRISE" and started singing happy birthday to him. Charlene Bryant got it all on video, which she posted on facebook if anyone is interested in seeing it. Matt seemed surprised!<br />Then, after we settled in and started to visit with people, we got a new visitor: President Ronald Reagan...back from the dead!!! He looked pretty good for being dead too! It turns out it was Dale McKerrow playing a joke on Matt. (I knew all along, because Dale called me the day before to see what I thought of the idea.) Matt had no idea who it was because Dale did such a good job acting like Ronald. It was great!!!<br />After a while, Matt had to open some gifts. He got some great things...chocolates, the movie Lonesome Dove, and the coup de gras (sp?) .... his signed Magglio Ordonez baseball from Jeff & Cindy.<br /><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;">Overall it was a great time! There were almost 50 people there, so it was a bit packed, but fun. We even got to meet Char's parents for the first time!!! They stayed with us that night too, and then we all went out to lunch the next day after meeting. I think Matt really had a good weekend off. And so did Jack & I.<br /></div><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWE0ULULkT0L8zTXCYXnJLLaP1cg5TaMxrdM_On_motvaYjUGaNT373pRHJPZHWc59VL_xGaQ2Y_8PoXK-Fl4w2JwMFC11NOhpmW4pJ9Se7lZCneCG8kYf2wf0tYXrfdi7j9zSOk2Ujv8/s1600-h/100_2951.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; He scoots from one room to the next with lightening speed! I'm so glad I put the gates up a while ago :)<br />Jack has also been the adventurous one with the foods he's eating too! He loves every flavor of baby food except peas. We've even tried Guava, Mango, Blueberries & Apples, Bananas & Strawberries... he loves them all!!<br />But recently, he's been eating table food too! He's tried (and loves) cheerios, clementines, dill pickles, vanilla ice cream, crackers, and Beechnut strawberry banana puffed rice. Hopefully the trend continues and he's up for any food I feed him...unlike his Daddy!! :-)<br /><br />Well, that's all for now. There was even a costume contest in which Jack won a prize as Clifford the big red dog. Kinsley was a peanut and also won a prize!! For Halloween, Matt and I took Jack around to the grandparents' houses and then around the block for the neighbors to see. He was Tigger...incase you couldn't tell!! We had a lot of fun. He is getting bigger by the day it seems and now he can "scoot" around, so I've got to be on the lookout all the time :)<br />Jack doesn't crawl yet, but he does "drag" himself across the floor. It's the cutest thing...he pulls with his right hand and then uses his left elbow to propel him along all the while his legs drag behind him like he's paralyzed below the waist. It really is a funny site.<br />Since the last post, a lot has happened, but I know that I'll forget some of it. So anyway, here are some pictures of things that went on this past month and a half.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFNgXzHQqFbR9Xl7hxOp3HKt0y30XYRUCbvSU5k7O30TgqY0SuiMCr61oyfWleTOwvT_PAjYvalfG27vAMngIqBWDFsRDXnIxcw_ShC_SSFRRmto_tEVU-Ls3q6rfT1_KioyGeLSyAgDE/s1600-h/100_2396.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFNgXzHQqFbR9Xl7hxOp3HKt0y30XYRUCbvSU5k7O30TgqY0SuiMCr61oyfWleTOwvT_PAjYvalfG27vAMngIqBWDFsRDXnIxcw_ShC_SSFRRmto_tEVU-Ls3q6rfT1_KioyGeLSyAgDE/s320/100_2396.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5262782467137980338" border="0" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">Jack <span style="color: rgb(51, 204, 0);">playing with the blocks that grandma Judy got for hi</span><span style="color: rgb(51, 204, 0);">m.</span></span><br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8h2ImBGP9qDAe2m5j7P6XmnPh5OGOuLVJPEjoM7-xPCeZVjouPS9Snn34bmWSAeHH-2zdv3Xxuplm8CUEMhAompLTCrSXYmX47x4g2wIdH81ax9XpusVKCsuJZwrW7ADjf5KrgGe2m4k/s1600-h/100_2364.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8h2ImBGP9qDAe2m5j7P6XmnPh5OGOuLVJPEjoM7-xPCeZVjouPS9Snn34bmWSAeHH-2zdv3Xxuplm8CUEMhAompLTCrSXYmX47x4g2wIdH81ax9XpusVKCsuJZwrW7ADjf5KrgGe2m4k/s320/100_2364.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5262784149179718450" border="0" /></a><span style="color: rgb(51, 204, 0);">Jack doesn't seem to be enjoying his water.</span><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: rgb(51, 204, 0);">Look at him suck in his tummy when he gets upset!</span><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6YYGgc_FH7OQrBtlaPEcmIgCjcKwL9nRaRthyr57vUmBJ9MV_jsY0W7phJqLjECfBxkrqj2PvUCG29dTLT1G6ODvVrVcDvZ31DszFvow0WHjx_sDAJq1VkojECaozgmjwcWJjelClu8g/s1600-h/100_2371.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6YYGgc_FH7OQrBtlaPEcmIgCjcKwL9nRaRthyr57vUmBJ9MV_jsY0W7phJqLjECfBxkrqj2PvUCG29dTLT1G6ODvVrVcDvZ31DszFvow0WHjx_sDAJq1VkojECaozgmjwcWJjelClu8g/s320/100_2371.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5262784784143079650" border="0" /></a>Jack's first Bills game. Jack will really love it when he's a little older, but we had fun this year too!<br />This is us among some of the many, MANY pumpkins there.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMJGE9RIexiDHpgl1L8qL7eNNYxJsKLWLDJ6JnpkUoAbrgv4NDRYntweTXt68Tbw-sHL2ELtHzxjo8_rnoCVefgwTgBRYSU9rr8a19-P5rVwcuYPjin75ND8MQDIj2ebBxO1fBYsBxp80/s1600-h/100_2586.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMJGE9RIexiDHpgl1L8qL7eNNYxJsKLWLDJ6JnpkUoAbrgv4NDRYntweTXt68Tbw-sHL2ELtHzxjo8_rnoCVefgwTgBRYSU9rr8a19-P5rVwcuYPjin75ND8MQDIj2ebBxO1fBYsBxp80/s320/100_2586.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5262792447967933490" border="0" /></a>After a union meeting at the Frank's, Dale McKerrow with Jack and the Willett clan.<br />The kids love Dale!!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnNnsY5riv3NVocICsgQxDbeKvMf49sukkWFr82frndemvmPhphmHi4bsYnbTYzeEwBIHI_97VDyF1G5Uj5YXkArhDbDlREfIXsPzd2IPDfxy6USZVcJtpdU_efI9TAn6imFO_m58O2Qc/s1600-h/100_2614.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnNnsY5riv3NVocICsgQxDbeKvMf49sukkWFr82frndemvmPhphmHi4bsYnbTYzeEwBIHI_97VDyF1G5Uj5YXkArhDbDlREfIXsPzd2IPDfxy6USZVcJtpdU_efI9TAn6imFO_m58O2Qc/s320/100_2614.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5262793256781980210" border="0" /></a>Jack & Kinsley having a few words.<br />"Jack and Kinsley sittin' in a tree<br />t-a-l-k-i-n-g"<br />(If I wrote "kissing" Matt Monnat would probably want to beat me up!)<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuIKIKQ81onhjr9n8KxyvU2BZrGyL_7WJ2oGD_JBZxA64bO4KHfw52R2APee8c4hB6fMGask34u5JQ06BeUjickMcT_WuQ_ZfajGf8cXFP_NnM6nTshyphenhyphen7_AvUO7d2rE-H_twoAEnbkvVg/s1600-h/100_2631.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuIKIKQ81onhjr9n8KxyvU2BZrGyL_7WJ2oGD_JBZxA64bO4KHfw52R2APee8c4hB6fMGask34u5JQ06BeUjickMcT_WuQ_ZfajGf8cXFP_NnM6nTshyphenhyphen7_AvUO7d2rE-H_twoAEnbkvVg/s320/100_2631.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5262794132709556722" border="0" /></a>Jack's first Sabres game. I was tagged!!!Well, Julie tagged me, so I'd better just get this over with before I get double-tagged or something :-)<br /><br />This is how it works: Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird. *Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.* Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.<br /><br />My 7 facts (or are they fiction???)<br /><br />1. I play the trombone. Have since I was 9. Love it!!! I still play every summer in the Lancaster Town Band. It's sooo much fun.<br /><br />2. I'm a stay-at-home mom-of-one and love it!!! I miss teaching, but would never be able to leave Jack all day.<br /><br />3. My "occupation" is being a math teacher, but I must admit that I can't even balance my check book!! I'm not great at math, but I love to teach it . . . isn't that weird?!?! In fact, in high school, I dropped out of math for a year because I didn't like it.<br /><br />4. Often I dream that I won the lottery or "Win for Life" and don't ever have to work again. Then I wake up and realize that I don't even play the lottery or "Win for Life," so that's impossible!!<br /><br />5. I'm still afraid of the dark! <br /><br />6. And my basement. It's more like a cellar (or a dungeon).<br /><br />7. My new "thing" is gardening, but I seem to stink at it. I just finally weeded the front yard's gardens a few days ago. I filled an entire garbage can with weeds!! (And it was one of those HUGE garbage cans!!) Oh well, some of the flowers still look good. Now I need to tackle the back yard's gardens. It'll be interesting. I'll add some pictures when I do it!! You will see then what I mean :-/<br /><br />Well, now it's come to the part where I need to tag others, but I don't know 7 people, so I'll just tag who I know: Sara Monnat, Jill McKerrow, and Cindy Kryman (but by the time you read this, it may be Cindy Moore . . . ha ha ha)Matt, Nicki & Jackhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16227689197843981797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1716189348526463653.post-31806177927931987162008-09-09T23:04:00.013-04:002008-09-10T00:16:51.761-04:00Busy but trying to keep up<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigwO8676RG6EgWYd1-sv_9UGTgVGM6Xck-_eeOk50Y2I1-fGjIBGzdqZhW5Lt6nCQ6xhc5U_LMy3thxYze9T6vJnLPYu2NkCtVUpBLSN4c8y6zeGY0TS7U_oyqTRYVsNVOXw-wpCUzGCI/s1600-h/100_2309.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigwO8676RG6EgWYd1-sv_9UGTgVGM6Xck-_eeOk50Y2I1-fGjIBGzdqZhW5Lt6nCQ6xhc5U_LMy3thxYze9T6vJnLPYu2NkCtVUpBLSN4c8y6zeGY0TS7U_oyqTRYVsNVOXw-wpCUzGCI/s200/100_2309.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5244236662678884082" border="0" /></a>I thought that as Jack got older, I'd get better at this. Instead the opposite is happening (but I am more organized at home, so I guess you can't have it all).<br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Lots has happened since my last post:<br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">~Sara had some baby showers - one I threw with help from some of the friends. Thanks to Judy, Debbie & Danielle for all their help and for everyone who came and made it a wonderful afternoon. Sara (and Matt & baby - name below) got a lot of nice things!!<br /></div><br />~Matt, Jack, and I went out to Mike & Julie's to visit for the weekend. It was nice to see them again. It's also good for Jack & Emma to get to know each other a little bit. Emma is such a doll!<br /><br />~Jack went to the doctor and we found out that he was a healthy, normal, BIG baby. No complaints from me. We were also given the green light to start solid food. So, we did that very day. Jack wanted to do it himself for a while, but now he just lets me do it because he knows the food will get to his mouth quicker. :-o<br /><br />~Matt, Jack, Dan, Don McKerrow, and I went to a Tigers game in Cleveland. It was a lot of fun and Jack's first Major League game. He had a ball. He even fell asleep during the last few innings (after I nursed him standing up in one of the bathroom stalls - yuck).<br /><br />~We had some visitors from the west coast (and sadly never got any pictures of them with us or Jack). Brynna is Jill McKerrow's cousin and Lyndsey is her friend. They were a riot to have and we can't wait until they move out here (wishful thinking!!)<br /><br />~Freedom convention has come and gone. It was wonderful seeing everyone again! I think that I had a good first convention-with-a-baby. Jack actually slept most of the meetings, which worked out great!! Hopefully next year goes as smoothly (yeah right!).<br /><br />~After Altamont convention, Matt, Jack, and I went out to Mike & Julie's. From there we all went to Ogunquit, ME for a few days of R&R. Well, it was a little less R&R than I'd hoped for, but it was certainly a ton of fun! We hope to do it again soon :)<br /><br />~Matt & Sara Monnat had their baby - Kinsley Marie - on August 23, 2008. Matt & I both got a chance to visit them in the hospital. She's sooo adorable. . . and sooo tiny. She makes Jack look like a giant (though I'm sure some people think that without seeing Kinsley first).<br /><br />~Matt's grandma (Judy's Mom) came up to visit. This was the first time she got to see Jack! It was so nice to see her again. She really is such a sweet lady :)<br /><br />~The week before Matt had to go back to school, we decided it would be fun to go to Genesee Country Village in Mumford, NY for the day. So we packed lunches and drove out there. It was a gorgeous day and the village was beautiful. It will be a lot more entertaining when Jack can actually play and "frolic" but it was still a nice day for all of us.<br /><br />~ This past Sunday was the Bills season opener (to Matt, the best thing we did all summer, except of course convention). The Bills won, so now we are "on our way to the Super Bowl". I'm sure it won't be too long before things are back to normal and we're throwing things at the TV while watching the game!!! But, it's fun! (and a curse) (and a disease too)<br /><br />I'll leave you with some pictures of the past months' activities. Hope you find them entertaining:<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSn-A7DBeJOsvI8dvZYgV1iYROOR2LCDa6dWgbxVczPpu8bx-nPXyk94v5njiZrry6TCxSl3Y4Vr76eSyUhbAdSdNdmxWlhQEVYzO4Td5CMQ2lGjfgIbC_HJUHoilFbPwHMAcFba_eozw/s1600-h/100_2089.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; It was a hit . . . it was brought out at 9 and gone by the time the fireworks started (an hour later).<br /><br /><br />A bunch of other things happened that weekend too. Mike, Julie and Emma came in to town Thursday night so they could be here for the 4th. We met them early: 8 am to register our babies in the baby contest. Luckily they didn't have to compete against each other!! Here they are before "walking" across the stage. (These are the only pics I got cuz my camera died!!!! If anybody else has some . . . Julie and Dan . . . if you could send some my way, I'd appreciate it!)<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB4dbp1vZDTevQgug7K56jo_p82fr6tfSxhWvGoI0eeabe3L7Nh8RY9SAxqQRmdlopWUU2OijsitXc-zNipCNx5KBf9mUS1Z9EWfC7SGwaB57jPH52ASQ-dQq59_0WXPV_3IYqmpbZHHM/s1600-h/100_1889.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB4dbp1vZDTevQgug7K56jo_p82fr6tfSxhWvGoI0eeabe3L7Nh8RY9SAxqQRmdlopWUU2OijsitXc-zNipCNx5KBf9mUS1Z9EWfC7SGwaB57jPH52ASQ-dQq59_0WXPV_3IYqmpbZHHM/s320/100_1889.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5220832128310803554" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIKbtmSxhRDrEi7HPvb2-5cWAbcfvvk1f_GIlZZG-g8CEdym4KSoG2e0R6zdag_kV-Yt6EF38dZszsZ85Ix-WKYu7zmm4miJYJoZsGj0rl-7fiLHFyXUApQ68QxrjmfIDvIV8HfwTF1zs/s1600-h/100_1890.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIKbtmSxhRDrEi7HPvb2-5cWAbcfvvk1f_GIlZZG-g8CEdym4KSoG2e0R6zdag_kV-Yt6EF38dZszsZ85Ix-WKYu7zmm4miJYJoZsGj0rl-7fiLHFyXUApQ68QxrjmfIDvIV8HfwTF1zs/s320/100_1890.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5220832140265034210" border="0" /></a><br />Jack won 2nd place in his age group and got a medal and a stuffed animal. It was pretty exciting. Matt brought him back on stage to claim his prize and show off his cutie-pie. Unfortunately, the judges were a little wacked-out and thought that some other dumb kids were cuter than Emma. Luckily for them, we don't know where they live!!!! (just kidding . . . or am I???)<br /><br />The next day was the Egger family reunion, so we didn't see much of Mike, Julie or Emma, but we went to Frosty's for ice cream on Sunday after Matt got out of work, and then they came over before they left Monday morning. Emma and Jack really are starting to notice each other and interact a bit. Below you'll notice that Emma is "smacking" Jack in the face. So in the next picture, you will see that Jack "pinched" her in return. (At least that's what it looks like.)<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiccDbSGJV_uUtmRGrYSITfPVzfES1X9INpp7NGse5uYt-gbOlIJbG1EpvDEpT5Dhw3iae9sOCOvl0di7FbvbNigyzOrB4VA85uebUDo2ilpxB1w7cFF3Df8vlNFDmh2JsKBxt_MZJ5XbM/s1600-h/100_1907.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiccDbSGJV_uUtmRGrYSITfPVzfES1X9INpp7NGse5uYt-gbOlIJbG1EpvDEpT5Dhw3iae9sOCOvl0di7FbvbNigyzOrB4VA85uebUDo2ilpxB1w7cFF3Df8vlNFDmh2JsKBxt_MZJ5XbM/s320/100_1907.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5220832759239114226" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyB8IBqxN9CO4yXkS3UgQ6U4mjhdqz7xsCEzpiskavY0eUkwKOIut2gYXkZnF2OdS2fvpRlIHHFztQM78xwlFfuE8Ld9RCr3Qr_5ZXmpxSyFlawMLIyJKAEz36xaL9ddxFKuuVS2I0eRQ/s1600-h/100_1908.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyB8IBqxN9CO4yXkS3UgQ6U4mjhdqz7xsCEzpiskavY0eUkwKOIut2gYXkZnF2OdS2fvpRlIHHFztQM78xwlFfuE8Ld9RCr3Qr_5ZXmpxSyFlawMLIyJKAEz36xaL9ddxFKuuVS2I0eRQ/s320/100_1908.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5220832767152914882" border="0" /></a>And of course, we couldn't leave out Matt, so we got the cousins on his lap too! We went to a game 3 weeks ago, but it got rained out, so this was our "makeup" game. It was beautiful weather for it! I can't believe it, but Jack is almost 3 months old! He is officially in his 3-6 month clothes, with an occasional 6-9 month outfit thrown into the mix. He is starting to become more active in past weeks/days too. He has started to sit up (with a bit of assistance from me of course), he jumps while I'm holding him, he is awake more than he's asleep during the day now, and most importantly . . . he's sleeping through the nights!!!! I also think he's starting to teeth (I know it's early, but it's been done this early before) because he is drooling like its going out of style and he gets fussy for no reason during the day now, which he never used to do.<br />This past week was unseasonably hot, and Grandma Judy brought over a little "pool" for him to swim in. We brought it to Grandma Bonnie's house (in hopes that her real pool would be open, but to no avail) and Jack seemed to enjoy it. Here he is "just chillin" in his new pool.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOa6B3x4mt5uKn6o_mzpSg7Ot4Z5ohOppU7e7ZmopG9_IK9t4O9QlAmDHru05qmlh_7AQwMYjHYSqrnI7SA_b7NMgFOscnZn7SRcMIx8VqrHylMhHsTfrFRqkBi1fuu-Dtcm8VTdbV-XQ/s1600-h/100_1868.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOa6B3x4mt5uKn6o_mzpSg7Ot4Z5ohOppU7e7ZmopG9_IK9t4O9QlAmDHru05qmlh_7AQwMYjHYSqrnI7SA_b7NMgFOscnZn7SRcMIx8VqrHylMhHsTfrFRqkBi1fuu-Dtcm8VTdbV-XQ/s320/100_1868.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5211007047359948642" border="0" /></a><br />We also have set up his jumpy-seat and he actually fits in it (even though the box says 4 months and up). He was jumping this morning, but then had a fit because he was hungry, so I wasn't able to get a picture. I'll add it next time. <span style="color: rgb(51, 102, 255);">UPDATE: I got a video of Jack in his jumpy seat Friday am, so I thought I'd share it with all of you! Jack was great too! He didn't have any crying spats and only needed to eat once (which we did in the car because it was right after we left the rest stop).<br />It was a very relaxing time in Schenectady. We had a party for Mike's graduation with some of the friends out there. We also visited Katie Knaggs for a while. I can't believe how big Oscar is!! I think that Jack is on his way to being a competitor though :)<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlANBKDng9gi3Bx8KCtl3zwHjBByIQbwFDojDoqKVUCeYqKzU3C1hw1PHbNGT8j5Rm46Dfx1OYtcZEmW3HWiuxmSdlZYVYkFJ5CUZFGFYaffAyfVnfKiEh9xuBueroroPv5HGMmr03Vzk/s1600-h/100_1832.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlANBKDng9gi3Bx8KCtl3zwHjBByIQbwFDojDoqKVUCeYqKzU3C1hw1PHbNGT8j5Rm46Dfx1OYtcZEmW3HWiuxmSdlZYVYkFJ5CUZFGFYaffAyfVnfKiEh9xuBueroroPv5HGMmr03Vzk/s200/100_1832.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5202816944949657186" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br />This is a picture with Uncle Mike at Katie's house. I'm not sure what that face is on Jack, but he was having a good time!<br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Emma is also growing up so fast. I can't believe that she almost doesn't fit on her changing table on the pack & play. Julie also said that she is wearing 9 month sleepers and they are getting to be tight on her toes!! I got a few cute pictures of her - one with Jack in their car seats . . . again, and one with her Grandpa playing the harmonica for her. I am told that she really likes it and it calms her down sometimes when she's crying or fussy. We had a great time out there and hope that we can continue to get the cousins together often!!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAri3X2KKtrs4GGULvVm7un3MvvHr67KPrKo-VRlEfIuC45YvEfQiQZsFz4wDQnMr-4vwPbK3rU3rtS4GRoSXoEtz6sxa81-14KzEYW4o0SPa4gidYQ9uMA1I9Ao5OqJsKn0AT_nwmn4c/s1600-h/100_1836.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAri3X2KKtrs4GGULvVm7un3MvvHr67KPrKo-VRlEfIuC45YvEfQiQZsFz4wDQnMr-4vwPbK3rU3rtS4GRoSXoEtz6sxa81-14KzEYW4o0SPa4gidYQ9uMA1I9Ao5OqJsKn0AT_nwmn4c/s200/100_1836.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5202818727361085074" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUlWsA1WDAYIggbeOvHZIzqWbslwa6j3OtR7ybOIdSySlPckD2nZ9QmTr4fR4bUgZp9Una-Xzhs9KXYUCGJDgyeKjWLqQPCi6if5Fc8TP4nC2RX-TLofKa9P63zBqwhvVVhCxNOIciG84/s1600-h/100_1830.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUlWsA1WDAYIggbeOvHZIzqWbslwa6j3OtR7ybOIdSySlPckD2nZ9QmTr4fR4bUgZp9Una-Xzhs9KXYUCGJDgyeKjWLqQPCi6if5Fc8TP4nC2RX-TLofKa9P63zBqwhvVVhCxNOIciG84/s200/100_1830.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5202818173310303858" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Now, the doctor visit:<br /> Jack is officially a piggy. He weighs 14 lb 4 oz and is 23 3/4 inches long. The doctor said he is in the 90th percentile for weight, but average for length. So what this means to me is that none of his 0-3 month pants fit him anymore, but the 3-6 month pants are going to be too long for him. What a dilemma! And, he is now wearing 3-6 month size sleepers because his neck is too big for the 0-3 month size. I don't know what I'm going to do with him :)<br /> But, back to the doctor visit. He is in good health. The doctor said everything looks great and that I should keep feeding him when he's hungry . . . which is all the time! So then, it was time for the shots. She told me that since he's bigger than most 2 month olds, I should give him almost double the dosage of Tylenol after his shots! YIKES !!<br /> So the nurse came in and he did his first vaccine orally and he seemed to like it. It smelled good - just like his vitamins! Then, came the three shots, one in his right thigh and two in his left. He cried bloody murder as soon as the needle went in his right thigh and as soon as she was done, she started yelling at me to "Pick him up, pick him up." So I grabbed him and his blanket and rocked him for a while. Then the nurse told me that she has to check for bleeding at the sites . . . as I'm looking at my white shirt that I'm wearing. Luckily there wasn't much blood and it didn't get on me (not that I really would have minded).<br /> After the nurse left, my sister Becky helped me calm him down and we gave him his double dose of Tylenol and then put his clothes back on. By this time, he was calming down. We put him in his car seat and by the time we were checking out and making another appointment, he was sleeping . . . so it must not have been too traumatic for him to get those shots!!<br /> Oh, and poor Matt. I made this appointment so he could come, and then something at Buffalo State College needed to be done that day, so he couldn't make it again. Maybe next time!<br />That's all for this time. I'm sure he'll do something cute soon and I'll post a picture or video of it. So until then I'll leave you with a cute picture of Jack and Daddy.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4Zy4OJtr04HX916TX8U3_EDLQxh_6Ce6YH8vmq7OjBFL6Y2ygn-FOOj79uPgh8MJ2aLQg6Dy5sqNq8vKCeKwxqChU8VPSk2zG2yCo09F4hfFjWU4KCL7N1ximXLi5OHPc4Gvg86xoCIA/s1600-h/100_1826.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4Zy4OJtr04HX916TX8U3_EDLQxh_6Ce6YH8vmq7OjBFL6Y2ygn-FOOj79uPgh8MJ2aLQg6Dy5sqNq8vKCeKwxqChU8VPSk2zG2yCo09F4hfFjWU4KCL7N1ximXLi5OHPc4Gvg86xoCIA/s400/100_1826.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5202822451097730722" border="0" /></a>Matt, Nicki & Jackhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16227689197843981797noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1716189348526463653.post-64007514182919680832008-05-14T09:22:00.013-04:002008-05-14T09:45:19.207-04:00Time really fliesThis past month has been so much fun! Nothing really exciting to share, hence no posts since last month. BUT, we sure have had some nice times. Jack is almost two months old now, but I feel like he's been around forever (in a good way). Below are just some pictures to keep you updated on what he's doing and how he's growing. He is such a porker!! Oh well, hopefully he'll slow down soon. Jack continues to grow like a weed. He went to the doctor's on the 17th and now weighs 11 lbs and is 21.75 inches long!!! I can't believe it :)<br />He also got to meet his cousin Emma, who is 3 1/2 months older than him, but not much different in size now. I think that Jack is going to be bigger than Emma by the next time they see each other. Emma is cuter than ever now. I can't believe how much she's grown and changed since mid February when I saw her last. It really does go soooo fast!!<br /><br /><br />Jack also got to meet two of his three great-grandmothers! It was good to visit with both of them. Gramma Koziel on the left and Gramma McCoy on the right. He absolutely hated it, so I'm glad I got the pictures of him when I did. He looks so cute in his tub, and I didn't dare take his diaper off until the absolute last minute! I never know when he's going to "shower" me :)<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Jack is also picking his head up more. We put him on his tummy at my mom's house and he seemed to love it. I've been doing it semi-daily since he was two weeks old, but now he's really starting to show some progress. He will lift his head, turn it from side to side, and even look around for a while. It's so cool!!! Mom put Jack on the dining room table at her house just so the cats and dog wouldn't crawl all over him or try to lick him. I really hate when they try to lick him . . . YUCK!<br /><br /><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dzMYkOCkGWnHW79xTsP-R3v7Zh3aE52s5n2yFNNrzsAErT201c0Fh6mMaxP3RCsR96K_m8XA0ZWLCipmEq_Qg' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe><br /><br />Well, that's about all of Jack's happenings. He has gained two pounds since leaving the hospital - weighing in at 9 lbs 6 oz. He has also grown about a quarter of an inch, which brings him to 20.5" long. He is really growing fast!!!<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp4ob8doaxmHduFJF5wZyS0SyZ-lQahPRiZK86AczFBdIjvTyv8rGEIJzImeETInhZc6AESHlAPFYuUsSZP5IuOsu8O8YhvnIcWwyqF6MggmQ0ExC0fxtzZkq7SX_A27el9Q4W4h7uRS0/s1600-h/100_1625.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp4ob8doaxmHduFJF5wZyS0SyZ-lQahPRiZK86AczFBdIjvTyv8rGEIJzImeETInhZc6AESHlAPFYuUsSZP5IuOsu8O8YhvnIcWwyqF6MggmQ0ExC0fxtzZkq7SX_A27el9Q4W4h7uRS0/s320/100_1625.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185378898764611698" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />And, since yesterday was such a beautiful day (almost 60 degrees and sunny) we went for a little walk around the block. (Mostly just to get me out of the house. I feel like I've been on house arrest for the past two weeks!) Cindy and Becky accompanied me. We probably looked pretty silly-the three of us trying to smush ourselves onto the sidewalk around the stroller so we could all look at Jack while we were walking him!! Oh well, we had fun. And, as usual, Jack slept for the majority of the walk. He only opened his eyes when we hit some pretty big bumps. I think I may have inadvertently given Jack brain damage with all those bumps. Sorry Jack!<br /><br /><br />Jack has also been to his first restaurant. After my doctor appointment on Tuesday my Dad, Grampa Tip, took Jack and me out for breakfast at . . . you guessed it, The Olive Tree!! He was very good - he didn't make a sound until we were on our way out.<br /><br />Jack also made it, finally, to his first meeting on Wednesday. He was great, though Matt and I were a bit nervous. Every time he made a face or sighed, we just about had a heart attack thinking he was going to start crying. But, he's a baby, that's what he does and we're just going to have to deal with that when it happens. He, again, didn't make any "real" noises until meeting was over thankfully!! I know that won't be a normal phenomenon, so I'll enjoy it while it lasts :)Matt, Nicki & Jackhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16227689197843981797noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1716189348526463653.post-59648917675173566782008-03-31T08:53:00.006-04:002008-03-31T09:03:17.772-04:00By Request . . . That's really all we've been saying since he was born! What an interesting day. Let me tell you about it:<br />We went for a non-stress test for the baby Thursday morning just to see what the baby was doing (as per doc's request). We "failed" the test, so we did a sonogram, which also ended up being a "failure." So, they called my doctor and she said since it's the official due date anyway, why not induce and get the baby out. When Matt and I heard that, we were so excited (and nervous)! So we got in the car and drove to Sister's Hospital. Luckily I've had all my bags packed and in the car since March 1st, so we were ready!!<br />Once we got to the hospital, it was a blur of a day. We got there around 10 am and by 10:30, I was "in labor" - induced on pitocin. I remember telling Matt a few months back how I wanted the labor and delivery to go . . . and this day was the total opposite of that! I ended up getting the epidural around 4:30pm, which is probably the best thing I could have done. And then around 5pm, everyone in the waiting room (15 people total) came in and visited for about an hour. Then the "fun" began around 7:30pm when the doctor came and it was time to get Jack out. Three hours later, he was born!! It was the greatest feeling in the world. And Matt was awesome the whole time. He even cut the umbilical cord!! And as if that wasn't enough to do in one day, around 11pm, the family and friends in the waiting room (12 people, I think) came in and got to hold Jack and visit with us for about an hour.<br />It was a very long day, but it was well worth it because Jack is better than Matt or I could have expected. He actually sleeps for about 3 hours at a time (not always at night, but that's okay). He doesn't cry unless he's getting changed - he's very modest! Speaking of changing - I have been initiated to the "changing of the boy" 3 times since we brought him home on Saturday. He's got some distance!!<br />Well, I think that's long enough for now, but I will get back with more exciting news and stories shortly.<br />Love,<br />NickiMatt, Nicki & Jackhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16227689197843981797noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1716189348526463653.post-88251165993990687322008-03-18T06:25:00.003-04:002008-03-18T06:33:34.322-04:00Today's the day . . . supposedly<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwy_o8rUJfFwY09wHPw5rdDaJ-fYQ_yWyJZ22j7gFKi9yRQnh_QaS5ppUpCPnkcJRhAooPYgZC49sX7HLVXvPU6ssj9T3GXggVEj3anLZmvoATCBhw20PK6wakvMO-swn50Kx-u8dn1Ig/s1600-h/100_1487.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwy_o8rUJfFwY09wHPw5rdDaJ-fYQ_yWyJZ22j7gFKi9yRQnh_QaS5ppUpCPnkcJRhAooPYgZC49sX7HLVXvPU6ssj9T3GXggVEj3anLZmvoATCBhw20PK6wakvMO-swn50Kx-u8dn1Ig/s320/100_1487.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5179027534427108370" border="0" /></a><br /><span style="font-family:arial;">Well, we really left you all hanging. WOW<br />I will try to take pictures every month and post a little something about what's new and what's to come! <br />The doctor said the due date is approximately March 20, 2008! How fun would it be if it came 3 days earlier and we had a little leprechaun?!?!<br />So far, no morning sickness, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for that to keep up! My mom never had any with any of her four pregnancies, so maybe that genetic code passed on to me :)<br />Well, not much else to share. In 5 weeks when I go back to the doctor, I might be able to hear it's heartbeat!!!! I can't wait! Either can Matt!<br />Love,<br />NickiMatt, Nicki & Jackhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16227689197843981797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1716189348526463653.post-46004711894062719622007-07-23T14:41:00.000-04:002007-07-25T14:43:34.215-04:00Welcome!<span style="font-size:100%;"><span style="font-family:georgia;">Welcome to my blog!
